Day1: Kathmandu Arrival
After arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will fulfill the custom and visa formalities. You will then be transferred to three-star hotel. The remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure. A pre-trek briefing will be held in evening. Enjoy the delicious dinner and have a pleasant stay.
Day2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Take breakfast and then be prepared for Guided Kathmandu city tour. Visit UNESCO sites like Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. Explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square and Swayambhunath. Get views of Kathmandu Valley. Stroll through bookshops and busy markets.
Day3: Kathmandu to Lukla (2800m) Flight, Trek to Ghat (2530m)
45 minute of flight will take us from Kathmandu to Lukla. This airport is named Tenzing- Hillary Airport in the memory of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay who were among the first to climb Everest. The air route is considered as one of the best air routes in the world. You will get views of scenic eastern Himalaya throughout the way. Assemble the crew and descend to Dudh Kosi River. Walk through crop fields to Ghat.
Day 4: Ghat to Monjo (2850m)
Cross Dudhkoshi River at several points. Cross pine forest and walk through the cleared area. Pass the donkeys and yaks that are carrying trading goods. Follow the Kusum Khola and get a view of Kusum Kangru (6369 m) peak. Cross the valley. We can view Nupla (5885 m) and Kongde Ri (6093 m) peaks on the northwest. Get the view of Thamserku (6808 m) peak as the trail stretches along Mani Walls that are inscribed with the mantra- "Om Mani Padme Hum".
Day 5: Monjo to Namche (3440m)
The gate of Sagamartha National Park lies in Monjo. Walk along the bank to the meeting point of Dudh Kosi and Bhote Kosi Rivers. Cross the long suspension bridge and climb to the Namche Bazaar which is known as the Sherpa capital. Cross the pine forest and get the first view of Everest. Walk along the valley that lies opposite to Kongde Ri peak.
Day 6: Rest in Namche Bazaar
Visit the Headquarters of Sagarmatha National Park and get information on the park. Climb to the top of the hill to get views of Imja Khola Valley. The land shifts from narrow lowland valleys to wide valleys that are covered in glaciers. Get views of Taweche peak (6542 m), Thamserku Mountain (6808 m), Ama Dablam (6856 m), Nuptse (7896 m), Kantega (6685 m) and Lhotse (8511 m). A side trip can be arranged to Everest View Hotel from where we can get views of Everest and Ama Dablam mountains. We can also explore Khumjung village.
Day 7: Namche to Deboche (3770m)
Cross pine forest and climb to Tengboche monastery. Monastery in Tengboche is the largest in Khumbu region. Go to Tengboche Bakery where you can place an order for apple pie and chocolate brownies. Lower down from Tengboche to Deboche and stay overnight.
Day 8: Deboche to Dingboche (4360m)
Cross the Imja Khola and follow the ascending trail to Pangboche village (3901m). We will visit Pangboche Gompa which is the oldest monastery in the Everest-Khumbu region. This Gompa is believed to be more than 300 years old. We can get views of Ama Dablam peak before crossing the river and continuing our journey to Dingboche. Dingboche is the picturesque village that lies below Ama Dablam Mountain.
Day 9: Rest day in Dingboche
This is the rest day. A side trip can be arranged to Chhukung Village. Climb to the nearby ridge and get views of Nuptse, Chhukung Peak, Lhotse and Imja Tse (6189 m) peaks. We can get views of glaciated peaks that towers up to 3,500 meters. We need to save energy for climbing the Kongma La Pass that is 5300 meters high.
Day 10: Dingboche to base of Kongma La (4800m)
Follow the straight path along the valley for few hours before taking the difficult ascend to the deep valley that is located amidst Pokalde Peak and Chhukung. The trail winds up to the base camp of kong ma La Pass where we will stay overnight.
Day 11: Cross Kongma La (5500m) to Lobuche (4930m)
Climb the Kongma La pass and take sharp descend to Khumbu Glacier. Walk through the valley of moraines and reach the meadow. Walk through the glacier and descend to the campsite at Lobuche village from where one can get the astounding views of Pumori and Nuptse Mountains.
Day 12: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5288m) and Kala Pattar (5545m)
Walk through the moraine valley to Gorak Shep. Arrive at the meeting place of two glaciers. Get views of Pumori (7145 m), Nuptse (7745 m) and Everest (8848 m) mountains. Breathe the clean air. We can trek to Kala Pattar. Sunset from kalapattar is the stunning view.
Day 13: To Everest Base Camp (4930m) and trek to Lobuche
We will start the early morning trek to Everest Base Camp. Get the enchanting views of Thamserku and other mountain massifs from Everest Base Camp. Walk along Khumbu Glacier and rocky moraines to Gorak Shep. Return to Lobuche from Gorakshep.
Day 14: Lobuche to Dzongla (4843m)
Weather is rather unstable in this area. So, we will start our trek early in the morning. We can get views of mountains throughout the day. We will walk through glaciers to the north face of Cholatse from where we can get a view of incredible Ama Dablam Mountain.
Day 15: Cross Cho La (5420m) and trek to Thagnak
Leave Everest and walk to Cho Oyu which is the world’s sixth highest mountain. Walk along the rock boulders and climb the Cho La Pass before taking sharp descend to the Gokyo valley that is full of turquoise lakes and glaciers. Walk through boulders and follow a river valley to Thagnak. This is a small Sherpa village that exists beneath rock walls. It lies near to the Ngozumba Glacier.
Day 16: Thagnak to Gokyo (4800m)
Leave Thagnak and cross the glacier. Climb the moraine valley and walk along the sparkling lakes to the village of Gokyo. Stay overnight at Gokyo.
Day 17: Climb Gokyo Ri (5483m) and trek to Renjo La Base (5130m)
It takes about two hours to climb Gokyo Ri. Get views of 8,000 meter mountains in Nepal like Cho Oyu (8153 m), Guangcheng Kang (7922 m), Makalu (8475 m), Cholatse (6440 m), Taweche (6542 m), Lhotse (8501 m), Kantega (6685 m), Lobuche (6145 m), Everest (8848 m) and Thamserku (6808 m) Mountains. We can also get a view of Ngozumba Glacier which is the largest glacier in Nepal. Lower down and walk to Renjo La base.
Day 18: Cross Renjo La (5400m) and trek to Taranga (4000m)
We will begin to climb Renjo La early in the morning. Follow the challenging trail and lower down to the northern valley. Walk through the land that is near to Tibetan border. We can meet with Tibetans that lowers down from Nangpa La pass. Cross Renjola and walk to Taranga.
Day 19: Taranga to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Leave Taranga and head south. Cross pine forest and pass through few small settlements to Namche Bazaar. Explore Namche Bazaar.
Day 20: Namche to Lukla (2800m)
Lower down from Namche and cross Dudh Kosi valley to reach Lukla. Manage your photo albums and prepare for the Lukla to Kathmandu flight. Stay overnight in a hotel at Lukla.
Day 21: Lukla to Kathmandu flight
50 minutes flight from Lukla in a twin otter plane will take us to Kathmandu. You are on your own in afternoon. Explore Kathmandu.
Day 22: Departure
You will be transferred to Kathmandu Airport three hours before your flight. Safe journey!!!
