Everest Base Camp Trekking is included among the top list of things to do in Nepal. Each year, many visitors wish to go to EBC Trek but are bewildered in lack of proper info. Everest can be attempted from North- Tibetan side and South- Nepal.
So, there are two Base Camps for Everest. Height of Everest Base Camp in Nepal side is located at 56364m altitude. Although Everest is the highest mountain in the world, there is least possibility of High Altitude Sickness. If the trekking itinerary includes enough resting days, this trek can be done without altitude problem.
However, contact your trekking guide immediately in case you feel tiredness, nausea, fever or breathing problem. Here is the list of height at each stop on EBC trek: Lukla (2800m), Phakding (2640m), Namche Bazaar (3500m), Dingboche (3800m), Lobuche (4800m), Gorakshep (5140m), Everest Base Camp (5360m), Kalapattar (5554m), Pheriche (4200m), Namche Bazaar (3500m)and Lukla (2800m).
EBC trekking is not much difficult. People with normal physical fitness level can join our Everest Base Camp trek-2016 package. If we have to give advice for Everest Base Camp Trek, we would suggest you to take slow paces.
Always lower down to less altitude if you feel Altitude Mountain Sickness. Take care about your diet. Nutrition plays key role to keep your body and mind moving at this height. Lack of energy will not only make this trek difficult but you will also not be able to enjoy the trek.
February to May is the best time for Everest Base Camp Trek. Days remain pretty clear during these months. April is the season of spring. Coincide your trek on this season and you will have exquisite view of blooming rhododendrons in Sagarmatha National Park.
