The trekking trail has been widened such that it is easy to ascend and descend the slope. The golden rule to prevent high altitude sickness is not to stay overnight at an altitude more than 300m from the altitude of the previous night. For extra safety, it will be better to take one acclimatization day after you conquer every 1000m.

September to December is the peak season for Everest Base Camp Trekking. You will also find the trekking route crowded with trekkers during October and November. So, you might find it difficult to find lodges for accommodation during these period. March to May is also considered best season for Everest Base Camp Trek. In fact, forest becomes lively with blooming flowers during these months. If you go to Everest Base Camp during months from April to May, you will find tents and climbers at Base Camp. If you prefer less crowded period, you should trek to Base Camp in between June to August (Monsoon Season) and (January to February) Mid- Winter Season. You will have poor visibility during monsoon.
