Manaslu Trek offers best off-the-beaten trekking trail experience. The hidden Manaslu region exists 40 miles to the east of Annapurna and it is home to world’s eighth highest Manaslu Mountain. Given below are some of the interesting facts about Manalsu Trekking that you did not know before.
There were many unsuccessful attempts to conquer Manaslu before Japanese team finally climbed to the top in 1956.  Manaslu Trekking offers an opportunity to walk through different climatic zone that ranges from 500m to 5100m above sea level. Thus the region is rich in biodiversity allowing you to observe different varieties of flora and fauna. One can find people from different religions. The lower land of Manaslu is dominated by people from Hindu religion while Buddhist religion is widely practiced at higher section. You will also pass through different climatic zone from Hindu lowlands to Buddhist highlands. The journey continues through Manaslu Conservation Area which is home to 110 species of butterflies, 32 species of mammals and 100 species of local and migratory birds. Some of the commonly spotted wildlife include langur, snow leopard and barking deer.
