After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will need to fulfil custom formalities. Our representative will be there at airport to receive you. He will greet you and transfer you to three star category hotel. Visit office for documentation work. Have a comfortable stay in hotel.
After breakfast, we will begin Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour. You will be taken to UNESCO Heritage sites in Kathmandu. The tour begins from holy Pashupatinath Temple. Observe Hindu ritual of crematory in Aryaghat before heading towards Bouddhanath- Nepal’s largest stupa. Next stop will be at Swoyambhunath, the monkey temple. Found 2500years back, this is believed to be the oldest stupa. We will also visit Kathmandu Durbar Square where there are many religious and historic sites like Taleju Temple, Swet Bhairav and Kumari Ghar- the home of Living Goddess. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
After breakfast, follow Prithvi Highway all the way to Pokhara. This clean and green city is located 200km far from Kathmandu. Enjoy the views of Annapurna Mountain, Ganesh Mountain, Trishuli River, green hills and rustic villages. It takes 5hrs to reach Pokhara where we will stay overnight in hotel.
Jomsom is a windy city. Heavy wind blows in afternoon. So, we will take early morning flight from Pokhara to Jomsom. We can enjoy aerial views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains. It takes 20 minutes to reach Jomsom. When the porters are ready with baggage, we will start Upper Mustang trekking. Trail stretches along the bank of Kaligandaki River to Kagbeni where we will stay overnight.
Kagbeni is located in a picturesque place that nestles peacefully being surrounded by mountains. Our journey continues along the eastern shore of Kali Gandaki River. After brief climb, we will descend to alpine village of Tangbe. We will walk along narrow alleyway of Tangbe village to Chhusang village. Crossing the river, we will head north. Leaving Kali Gandaki valley, we will ascend to Chele where we will stay overnight.
The trail escalates uphill from Chele. The terrain is slope and steep with no greenery. Moving through canyon, we will cross the Pass and lower down to chortens. The trail stretches further down to tiny village of Samar. Stay overnight at Geling. Enjoy the views of Annapurna Mountain and Nilgiri Mountain before taking climb to Geling. Stay overnight at Geling.
We will leave Geling and take steep climb to Nyi La Pass. Lowering down from the Pass, we will reach bridge that is located above Tangmar Chu River. The trail stretches uphill from Tangmar Chu and walk along mani walls to reach another pass. We will head further to Charang. Five–storey white Dzong and Red gompa are attractions in Charang. Stay overnight at Charang.
Leaving Charang after breakfast, we will lower down to Charang Chu River. From Charang Chu River, we will climb uphill to the ridge located at 3850m. Enjoy the first view of Lomanthang city and descend to Lo Manthang. Stay overnight at Lo Manthang.
This is a rest day. We will explore Lo Manthang which is the capital of Mustang. Tingkhar, the last village of Mustang is the place of interest near Lomanthang. We can also visit Namgyal Gompa, Thugchen Gompa or Chyodi Gompa monasteries. Lo Manthang Palace is another site worth visiting. Stay overnight in Lo Manthang.
Lomanthang is our ultimate destination. We will return from Lomanthang. Following a different path, we will move south-west from Charang. The trail stretches through fields and takes us uphill to the top of ridge. Crossing Chogo La Pass, we will lower down to grass plain. We will cross the bridge over Charang River and reach Gyakar village from where we will pass through meadow to Lo Dhakmar. Stay overnight at Lo Dhakmar.
Walking along stone walls of Dramkar village, we will descend to river and climb uphill to the ridge. We will move further to upper part of Ghemi. The trail continues along Ghemi and pass through Jaite and Chhung Ka villages to Tama Gaon. From this village, we will climb uphill to Chorten. We will cross Syangbochen La Pass and descend to Syangbochen where we will stay overnight.
This is quite a strenuous trek. We will reach Chusang from Syanbochen in about 7hours. From Syangbochen, we will cross small villages of Yamdo and Bena and reach Samar village from where we will follow the descending trail to Chele. Walking further along Kali Gandaki River, we will reach Chusang. Stay overnight at Chusang.
The trail escalates uphill to ridge. We will head towards Muktinath temple which is the center of spiritual belief of both Hindus and Buddhists. We will visit Muktinath temple and 108 water sprouts. The Jwala Mai temple and ancient Vishnu temple are other attractions in Muktinath. Stay overnight at Muktinath.
We will lower down from Muktinath and walk along the bank of Kaligandaki River to Kagbeni. The trail continues through Kagbeni to Ekle Bhatti. The trail continues along Kaligandaki River to Jomsom. Stay overnight at Jomsom.
We will catch return flight from Jomosm. We will reach Pokhara in 20minutes. From Pokhara, we will return to Kathmandu where you will be transferred back to hotel.
This is a free day. We can organize day tour in Kathmandu. You can also go for shopping in hotel. Stay overnight in hotel.
You will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport three hours before your scheduled flight. Have a safe journey.
