What to Pack

Clothing: a thermal base layer (worn, not just carried), a fleece or light down mid-layer, a windproof outer shell, warm trousers, gloves, a warm hat, a scarf, thick wool socks, and supportive footwear.
Gear: UV-protection sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, a charged camera or phone with a spare memory card, and a small daypack.
On the day: any personal medication, a small water bottle, and light snacks — energy bars, dried fruit, or a hot drink in a flask all help at altitude.

Leave multi-day trekking gear at the hotel. This is a single morning, not an expedition, and the helicopter has strict weight limits.

Safety, Weather & Cancellation Policy

Aircraft and crew. Our helicopters are built for the strong winds and thin air at high altitude, and flown by pilots and crew with years of experience in the Himalayas.

Weight limits.

Each helicopter carries a maximum of 5 passengers and 500 kg total. Above roughly 4,000 m, the safe weight limit drops to around 250 kg, so groups of more than 3 passengers usually stop at Pheriche to adjust the load before continuing to Kala Patthar in one shuttle. The average recommended passenger weight is 80 kg; we'll ask for your accurate weight at booking, since it affects flight planning.

Weather.

Flights need clear, stable conditions, and mountain weather can change quickly. Delays and rerouting happen. Pilots may shorten or adjust a flight for safety, this is normal, not a service failure.

Altitude.

A short time above 5,000 m can bring a mild headache or light-headedness for some passengers. This is common and usually manageable given the short ground time. Onboard oxygen is available if needed.

Cancellation policy:

Cancelled due to weather: 100% refund.
Cancelled due to political disturbance, strikes, or similar events: no refund, but you can postpone. Deposits stay valid for 5 years, with pricing held for 2 years.
You cancel after the tour has begun: no refund.
We cancel the tour: full refund or postponement, your choice.

Definitely, one of the best experiences of my life was the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour back in May month of 2022. Great memory of Everest base camp helicopter tour in Nepal

Hello Everyone, if you have time to enjoy your holiday in Nepal, a safe haven with less worry of Covid-19, although the pandemic exists but less compared to other countries. When I arrived in Nepal found everything was as usual with local people full of daily activities, wearing mask and washing hands quite often.

Incredible Everest Helicopter Tour

When I & my husband reached Kathmandu Nepal, there is everything was very normal Although, there were very few tourists and mountaineers that I came across in the hotel, Because of short days hiking in Nepal is not suitable for me. I have just couple of days in this time.

But there was Golden an opportunity to view Himalayan mountains range, booking for helicopter flight with the help of Nepal Himalayas Trekking company to Everest base camp including Kala Patthar. Once is not enough.

Wow, being surrounded by giant Himalayan peaks on landing at a nice scenic Helipad was terrific. A perfect landing spot for the incredible panorama of Mount Everest and adjoining snow peaks. Our Everest Base Camp Charter flight was perfectly worth it because we choose Nepal Himalayas Trekking.
There are lots of travel agencies in the street of Thamel Kathmandu, Nepal but I am glad that we choose the Nepal Himalayas Trekking Company.

Mr. Prakash, the owner of Nepal Himalayas Trekking, was very responsive to all of our queries during the planning stage of our trip. He provided a customized itinerary suitable for our group and accommodated changes along the way. This tour company/tour operator only required a 30% downpayment for the tour sent via wire transfer, which was not bad. They did not immediately collect the remaining balance on the first day; hence, they asked for it when all of the activities for the tour were done.

Staffs are very nice and accommodating. They guided us all throughout our stay in Nepal. We enjoyed the Everest Base Camp Helicopter tour. We were assigned to a very experienced and calm pilot from Manang Air. Our Guide or owner Mr. Prakash was right when we stayed for breakfast at Kongde Yeti Mountain Home as it provided a spectacular view of the Himalayan mountains. Mr. Prakash surely knew the best spots in some of Kathmandu's iconic places. He was patient and always smiled.

The complimentary Nepalese dinner with the cultural show during our last night in Kathmandu was perfect to end our unforgettable trip to Nepal.

5:30 AM – 6:00 AM — Hotel Pickup, Kathmandu A private vehicle collects you from your hotel and takes you to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) for weight check-in and permit paperwork.
6:00 AM – 6:30 AM — Takeoff Toward the Khumbu The helicopter heads east via Bhaktapur and Nagarkot, then climbs over the mid-hills toward Lukla.
6:45 AM — Refuelling Stop at Lukla A brief stop at Tenzing–Hillary Airport (2,860 m), the mountain airstrip serving the Everest region.
7:00 AM – 7:30 AM — Up the Khumbu Valley The helicopter flies past Namche Bazaar and Tengboche, then crosses the Khumbu Glacier toward Kala Patthar.
7:30 AM — Landing at Kala Patthar Around 10–15 minutes on the ground, weather permitting, with Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse filling the horizon.
