From December to February, the area experiences cold weather with snowfall, while March to May is hot and dry. But we have found there are so many tourists from April to May because the TIJI Festival is happening in May. That's why March to May is also not bad to travel in the Mustang Region.  June to August is the monsoon season when the region receives heavy rainfall.

The Mustang region is a semi-deserted place. Because of the proximity of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, Uttar Mustang is not prone to becoming wet. As a result, in addition to summer in Nepal, Upper Mustang can also be the finest location to visit in Nepal.

The most popular seasons for foreign tourists are autumn and spring when trekking options are more limited. The autumn and spring months may also be avoided to reduce the risk of problems. For international visitors, these are the most popular months in Nepal.
