Today, upon your arrival Tribhuvan International Airport, our representatives from Nepal Himalayas Trekking will welcome you and transfer the hotel.
With the help of our experienced tour guide, you will spend this whole day for Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing. The main places will be: Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Bauddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square among others.
Today, we drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche by local bus. There is a descent to the Trishuli River which is reached within half an hour. From the river bed there is a steep climb to Dovan. Right from here a track to Gosainkund leaves the main train to Rasuwa Ghari and the Langtang Valley. It will take about 9 hours to reach Dhunche from Kathmandu. We will stay at Dhunche tonight.
Today, the trail from Dhunche crosses the river and heads through the forest. The trail climbs uphill most of the way until it reaches Sing Gompa. We will stay overnight in Sing Gompa Lodge.
Today, from Sing Gompa the trail climbs gradually up and reaches Chalang pati (3650m) where you have a splendid view of Langtang Lirung, Tibetan mountains and the forest filled with beautiful rhododendron and pine. The trail ascends to Laurebinayak. The route then ascends up to a small temple with a statue of Sakyamuni and further climbing you can see good views of Saraswati kunda (lake). After trekking some while you will have excellent views of Bhairav Kunda (lake) and climbing gently you will reach to Gosainkunda.
Today will be the whole-day acclimatization in Gosainkunda. We will be exploring the area around Holy Gosainkunda Lake.
Today, the trail goes through a steep path for almost two and a half hours to finally cross a Laurebinayak La pass at 4610 m after the rocky trail. The trail then descends after the pass and after nearly three hours, reaches Ghopte, the destination for the day.
Today, we will trek from Ghopte to Melamchigaon (2630m) via Tharepati Pass (3490m) .The first part of our trail is slightly descending and then starts ascending through the rhododendron forests until Thearepati. From Tharepati, the trail gradually descends through pine and rhododendron forests down to Helambu valley. We would see Jugal Himal and Numbur of Solu Khumbu from here. Melamchi Gaon is mainly inhabited by Sherpa people. We would visit the monasteries at our leisure at Melamchi.
Today, we’ll trek from Melamchi Gaon to Tarkeghyang (2600m). The early part of the trek descends until we cross the stream named as Melamchi. Then, from here, our trail goes to Tarkeghyang which is a beautiful Sherpa village with one of the oldest and biggest monasteries. We will stay overnight at Tarkeghyang.
Today, we will trek from Tarkeghyang to Shermathang (2590m). Trekking today is comparatively easier than the previous days as the trail goes through flat land with beautiful forests. On the way, we would penetrate the village called Shermathang where we would visit some ancient monasteries. We will stay overnight at Sermathang.
Today we trek from Shermathang to Melamchi. The trail gradually descends all the way to Melamchi Pul Bazaar through meadows ad cultivated fields. On the way, we come across several villages. En route, we would interact with the local people and know their culture and way of life. We will stay at the guesthouse in Melamchi.
Today, from Melamchi Pul Bazaar, we drive to Kathmandu. The road is graveled and bumpy till Lamidanda and then we will have pitched road up to Kathmandu.
Today, after having breakfast, we will accompany you to the airport for the returning flight. We bid you farewell at the airport hoping to see you again!
