The days are warmer, with daytime temperatures ranging from 10°C to 20°C (50°F to 68°F) at lower altitudes. However, as you gain altitude, temperatures drop, and nights can be quite cold. This is also the time when the rhododendron forests are in full bloom, adding to the beauty of the trek.

Summer (June to August): Low Season

The summer months are the monsoon season in Nepal, and the Manaslu region experiences heavy rainfall. Trekkers often avoid this time due to the high risk of landslides, slippery trails, and leeches. It's not recommended for trekking during this period.

Autumn (Mid-September to November/December): Best Season/Time for Manaslu Trek

Autumn is another popular time for the Manaslu Circuit Trek. The weather is generally stable, and the skies are clear, providing excellent visibility for mountain views. Daytime temperatures at lower altitudes can range from 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F), making it a comfortable time to trek.

Winter (Mid-December to February): Low Season

Winter is the coldest time for the trek. The temperatures can drop significantly, especially at higher elevations, and snowfall is common. Trekking during the winter can be challenging due to the cold and the possibility of heavy snow, which can obstruct the trails and make them more difficult to navigate.

It's essential to note that the weather can be unpredictable in the mountains, and conditions can change rapidly. Always check the weather forecast before starting your trek and be prepared for a wide range of temperatures and conditions, especially if you plan to trek at higher altitudes. Additionally, consider hiring a local guide and porter, as they can provide valuable information and support to ensure a safe and enjoyable trek.
