It was my first time trekking in Nepal and I’m very glad that I have decided to go with Nepal Himalayas Trekking after reading good reviews on Tripadvisor. Mr. Prakash, owner of this trekking agency was prompt in replying to my queries right from the start. When we met up in Kathmandu, he was attentive to our concerns after hearing more about our trekking experience. He recommended adjusting the original trekking itinerary so that we could cope better with acclimatization. This turned out to be a good call and more well-suited to our pace. Even though Mr. Prakash was not personally guiding the trek, his team took very good care of us throughout. The trekking guide, Mr. Mt Tamang, and Sherpa Mr. Thakur Adhikari were attentive to our needs and pace. The attention to planning details from providing a variety of simple yet satisfying meals day after day on the trek to the selection of accommodation rooms to ensure that we get the best view is very much appreciated. Such small gestures but very thoughtful efforts made the trip all the more enjoyable. Very thankful to Prakash and his entire team for making it a memorable experience. If you are looking to trek in Nepal, get in touch with Mr. Prakash & Nepal Himalayas Trekking Company and give them an opportunity to host you.

The Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek typically spans 20 to 25 days, covering approximately 200 kilometers (124 miles). Long daily walking hours, often 6-8 hours, and challenging terrains demand both physical and mental endurance.
The trail features steep ascents, rocky paths, narrow ridges, and river crossings, testing your stamina and balance. Some sections involve unmaintained trails in remote areas, where basic navigation skills and the guidance of experienced guides are invaluable.
Unlike popular treks such as the Everest Base Camp Trek, the Kanchenjunga region is less commercialized. The remoteness adds to its allure but comes with challenges such as limited access to medical facilities and basic teahouse accommodations.
The trek's difficulty can be influenced by weather conditions. Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best times to undertake the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek, offering stable weather and clear views. Winter and monsoon seasons increase the difficulty due to snow, rain, and slippery trails.
This trek is categorized as strenuous, requiring a high level of physical fitness. Preparing with regular cardio, strength training, and endurance exercises is crucial. Previous high-altitude trekking experience is highly recommended.
Despite its challenges, the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is incredibly rewarding. Trekkers are treated to panoramic views of majestic peaks, encounters with rare wildlife, including the elusive red panda, and cultural exchanges with local Limbu and Rai communities.
The Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek difficulty should not deter avid trekkers looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. With proper planning, physical preparation, and guidance from experienced trekking companies, such as Nepal Himalayas Trekking, you can conquer this remarkable journey and create unforgettable memories in the lap of Kanchenjunga.

Me and my 2 classmate friends decided to travel to Nepal for the Kanchenjunga Trek. Before to go Nepal, We have found the best Kanchenjunga Trek packages of Nepal Himalayas Trekking Company. When we emailed to this Company, they provided the details of the day-to-day Itinerary, Services, and affordable costs. They also offer two Porters (Sherpa) for the two trekkers.
We all are more than agree with this company offer and we have booked our Kanchenjunga Base Camp trek in Nepal with Nepal Himalayas Trekking in Nepal in April 2024. In the beginning of our trek, a couple of days there are slightly bad weather. But after the third day, the weather was fantastic, Our Guide Mr. Raju Dahal and Poryers Mr. Dasharath Adhikari and Muste Tamang are very helpful, kind and innocent. They were always ready to help us. They never tried to lead us on every day.
During the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek, we have a chance to explore the very beautiful village, able to know the unique and traditional local culture, living of lifestyle, farming and the incredible view of white snow mountains including Mount Kanchenjunga. We had a really great time in the mountains with the Nepal Himalayas Trekking family.

My girlfriend and I, both from Germany, embarked on the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek in October 2023, and it was an unforgettable experience. We chose Nepal Himalayas Trekking Company, led by Mr. Prakash Lamsal, and couldn’t be more satisfied with our decision.

They were genuinely innocent, making the trek enjoyable with their support, local knowledge, and warm demeanor. Whether it was navigating challenging trails or helping with small details, their attentiveness made us feel safe and cared for throughout the journey.

We are a couple from Germany, and we recently completed the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek in October 2024 with Nepal Himalayas Trekking, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we booked, Mr. Prakash Lamsal, the company’s owner, ensured everything was perfectly organized.
Our guide, Mr. Dhurba Adhikari, was exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the region, culture, and the natural beauty surrounding us. His attention to detail, patience, and care made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the trek. His enthusiasm kept us motivated even during the challenging sections.
We were also accompanied by our porter, Durga, who was a true unsung hero. Despite carrying our heavy loads, he was always smiling, supportive, and ensured our luggage was handled with care. His strength and positive attitude were amazing.
The trek itself was breathtaking. The diverse landscapes, remote villages, and views of Kanchenjunga were surreal. Nepal Himalayas Trekking made sure we had comfortable accommodations, good meals, and a well-paced itinerary. Every aspect of the trek was well-managed, and we appreciated the professionalism and warmth of the entire team.
We highly recommend Nepal Himalayas Trekking for anyone considering the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek. The combination of an experienced guide, a dedicated porter, and a reliable company made our adventure truly special. Thank you, Prakash, Dhurba, and Durga, for an unforgettable journey!
